DAMKA improves the well-being and treatment compliance of children and adolescents living with HIV or sickle cell anaemia, as illustrated by the example of 21-year-old Fadhila Cheche.
15 July 2026
Twenty-one-year-old Fadhila Cheche is living with sickle cell disease. After losing both parents, daily life became a struggle for Fadhila and her brother. Thanks to SolidarMed’s partner organisation DAMKA, she received community-based care, psychosocial support and access to free treatment. This stabilised her health and made a lasting improvement to her quality of life. Today, Fadhila feels stronger and more optimistic.
